Jack Rucker
Jack began his legal career as a paralegal in the Felony Trial Division of the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore City, working exclusively on serious felony cases. During this time, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore in 2016.
In 2019, Jack relocated to Lansing to attend the Michigan State University College of Law. After his first year, he was accepted into the selective Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute, a program dedicated to developing trial-ready litigators. While in law school, Jack gained hands-on experience at various law offices, eventually joining the Law Office of Reid Felsing in May 2021, where he handled complex criminal and civil cases under the mentorship of Reid Felsing. He graduated in May 2022, passed the Bar Exam in July, and was sworn in as an attorney in November 2022.
As an associate attorney, Jack handled complex civil and criminal trial cases, as well as dozens of felony trial appeals in his first year. He has achieved a high success rate in private practice thanks to his understanding of client needs, strategic solutions, and a results driven approach to legal issues. Whether it’s a not guilty verdict, a favorable plea deal, a civil judgment, or an out-of-court settlement, Jack is dedicated to securing the best outcome for his clients no matter the circumstances.
When Reid Felsing was appointed as judge of the 56A District Court, Jack took the reigns of the firm. Reborn as Nova Law PLC, Jack strives to further Reid’s vision of a firm that can deliver excellent legal results with a personal touch for every case, no matter how big or small.
While not at work, Jack enjoys spending time with his family including his wife, Amy, and their daughter Ada.
